Floor lamps are appropriate in the dining room open concept?

I think that to put a lamp in my dining room. My room is open to the kitchen so basically it is a very long piece. The lamp is good there, but I'm a little unsure about what is appropriate for the space. Decorator Help Needed! The soon as possible

I think it's a little weird, but I'm more of a traditional chandilier a table and maybe a lamp or two in the buffet girl. Lighting fixtures for more correct, but I never saw a light in a room eating. We hope you find a nice place for her.
